It's going to be a great year this year. I'll be travelling all around the country performing my shows, including two trips to Adelaide, one to Sydney and to Queensland, and plenty of regional Victoria and Melbourne shows as well.
I started the year with a P&O Cruise from Fiji back to Australia, where I performed my 60's show for the punters. They loved it, as did I, and I was very happy to have smooth seas the whole way. I did my first cruise mid last year, and we had a couple of really rough days, which left me feeling a little ordinary, and with a touch of vertigo for a week when I returned home. But no such problems this time. It was lots of fun.
I'm almost ready to publish a new demo for my 60's show, with the footage taken at my fundraising show at The Capital in Bendigo last year, and I can't wait to see the final product. Hopefully it will help to get me a few more cruises throughout the year.
Of course, the big news is that I'm writing a new show which is really close to my heart. Hence the name: Gina Hogan - a Country Girl at Heart. The initial hard work is almost done, with the costume design, photo shoot and publicity blurb well on the way. Then it's down to the fun bit... getting the show on its feet. Can't wait for that. And I've got my fabulous pianist and friend, Mr Greg Riddell, on board again so we'll have a ball I'm sure.
So bring on 2017!! I'm ready!
